What is the Church saying?

During October, 2018 the synod of bishops focused on young adults met. Young adult delegates have largely urged church leaders to be more welcoming to LGBTQ individuals and their families. Cardinal Blase Cupich from the archdiocese of Chicago, handpicked by Pope Francis to attend the synod responded “We have to make sure that we don’t put obstacles in the face of God’s grace. We take people where they are, walking with them, moving forward,”

What is happening at St. B's and in the local community?

Our LGBTQ+ Ministry here at St. B's is part of a diocesan wide effort to support individuals and their families in their journey. We prayerfully accompany, support and pray for those we serve, and connect them with resources in the community.

  • Right here at St. B's we have started a Connection to Christ small group open to open to LGBTQ individuals, family, friends and allies (more details and sign-ups below)
