What is Home Ministry?

In many different ways our priests and Home Ministry team are able to:

  • Visit, bring the Eucharist, and pray with parishioners in their home, hospital, or assisted-living facility
  • Call homebound parishioners
  • Send them greeting cards several times a year
  • Pray for them in several ways including: prayers of the faithful at Mass and prayers for the sick

Home Ministry Team

Our Home Ministry Team is made up of our clergy and more than 40 parishioners who provide care and support for our parishioners in their home, hospital, or assisted living facilities. Our leadership team is made up of

  • Donna Young - Administration
  • Gretchen McQuade - Phone Calls and Visits
  • Greg Chapin - Eucharistic Coordination

Caring for the Whole Person

Caring for the Whole Person (CWP) is an initiative at Saint Brigid Parish and the Diocese of San Diego. It is designed for people planning for end of life care. We are also in partnership with the California Catholic Conference (CCC).

Dear Jesus, Please give the homebound Your comfort, Your peace... and healing if it is Thy will. Please give all caregivers insight, understanding, patience, wisdom, compassion and forgiveness. Amen.
