Laudato Si
The mission of Saint Brigid’s Creation Care is a call to be responsible stewards of Creation in our community and beyond. We strive to follow the recommendations made in Pope Francis’s encyclical Laudato Si to care for the environment and all living beings through education and action.
“Education in environmental responsibility can encourage ways of acting which directly and significantly affect the world around us, such as avoiding the use of plastic and paper, reducing water consumption, separating refuse, cooking only what can be reasonably consumed, showing care for other living beings, using public transport or carpooling, planting trees, turning off unnecessary lights, or any number of other practices.” – Pope Francis, Laudato Si' (Full Text)
